UNITED FOR JUSTICE AND DIGNITY

We work for just and inclusive societies, free from crime and violence, by tackling the threats to peace, development, and stability

At the United Nations Interregional Crime and Justice Research Institute (UNICRI), we empower societies, promote justice and dignity, and enhance security and accountability. Since 1968, we have been navigating old and emerging threats, playing a key role in enhancing justice and crime prevention to address global security challenges in support of peace and development.

In a fragile and hyper-connected world, we deliver evidence-based, multifaceted strategies and interventions to tackle transnational issues, including organized crime, the misuse of chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear materials, terrorism and radicalization, illicit financial flows and corrupt practices, and the risks posed by new technologies.

Through applied research, training, capacity building, and tailored, citizen-centric interventions, we develop context-specific solutions and global alliances. By fostering innovation and partnerships, we contribute to a safer world. Thank you for visiting our website. Together, let’s build a future free from violence and fear, where human rights and justice prevail.
